Porcelain Veneers
Teeth that are chipped, cracked, worn, spaced unevenly, crowded,
or severely stained can be transformed with porcelain veneers.
Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that bond directly to the
front surface of your anterior (front) teeth. Placing custom
veneers requires a high degree of technical skill and attention
to cosmetic detail. The result is a natural, scintillating smile.

What are Porcelain Veneers?
In simple terms they are thin slices of porcelain that are placed over the front
of your teeth to cover up stains and fix chipped or misaligned teeth. Cosmetic
dentists frequently use dental veneers to improve the appearance of their patients.
They can be used for a number of reasons. When a porcelain veneer is made by
a dental lab the veneer is shaped and stained to look and act like your natural
teeth. In many cases when an experienced cosmetic dentist preps your teeth and
applies the veneers made by a dental lab technician, the smile looks so natural
that it is very hard for people detect that you even have a cosmetic procedure
performed. Cosmetic Dentistry done right shouldn't make your teeth look fake,
they should look and feel natural.

Our Veneer Treatment Procedure.
Before any Veneer procedure, your teeth must first be assessed as to their
suitability for treatment by one of our Dental Specialists in Cosmetic Dentistry.
During
the personal consultation, the Dentist will go over what is required for your
individual situation.
Trimming:
The dentist removes a very small layer of the tooth's outer enamel.
Impression:
Once the proper amount of enamel has been trimmed, our dentist will need to
make a copy of your tooth. Your porcelain veneer will be constructed from this
copy in our in-house laboratory.
Bonding:
Once you and your dentist have determined that the shape and shade of your
veneer is appropriate it can be bonded into place. The dentist applies the
veneer to the tooth using a bonding material.
Our dentist will spend time evaluating your bite and making sure that the veneer
is adjusted appropriately. The veneer's precise contours will also be evaluated,
trimming or reshaping can take place until dentist and patient are happy.
When a tooth is cracked, decayed,
or damaged, a crown may need to be fitted onto the tooth.
Crowns can whiten, reshape, and realign existing teeth,
adding to a healthy and vibrant smile.
